Abstract

The present study aims to identify the extent to which teachers of Arabic language and their
teachers have the skills of literary taste and reading comprehension. The researcher chose the
teachers of the Arabic language in the General Directorate of Education in Maysan Governorate.
She then selected a sample of 128 teachers. The researcher used Adatin in the application of the
research one of the literary taste and the other for reading comprehension and verified the
validity and persistence and then applied to the main sample of the research.
The results showed the existence of skills in a positive way among the teachers of the Arabic
language and different rates between skill and another and the researcher came out with a set of
conclusions, recommendations and proposals.
