EVALUATING THE PATRONS PERCEPTION ON PERFORMANCE OF POSTAL SERVICES DURING COVID19 OUTBREAK IN CHENNAI CITY

Abstract

The World Health Organization declares the Covid19 outbreak on 30th January 2020, and declares as a
pandemic on 11th March 2020. In India, since 25th March 2020 crores of people have been staying indoors
due to lockdown. The novel coronavirus (Covid19) disease has created major impact on every segment of
life. Education, economy, tourism, employment, food, entertainment, sports have been affected majorly due
to this disease. Though it has suspended the various services, the postal department continued to provide
the essential services to the general public. The postal department employees on the ground worked day
and night to deliver the mails and letters, parcels and maintained the cash to provide it for the customer.
This research paper is framed to evaluate the patrons’ perspective on various postal services during the
covid pandemic lockdown period.
