Abstract

The complex business climate growth has intensified the managers' efforts to handle agile
projects. This is mainly due to shortening deadlines for project implementation as well as loosely
defined goals which change during project implementation. Project manager’s expectations and
project risk management approach have changed. Organizations use change management
programs and the creation and implementation of new goods. In a competitive world, success can
only be accomplished by those who can handle the challenges and understand the project more
effectively. The goal of the article is to highlight the value of risk management in conventional
and agile approaches to project management and the possibilities for its implementation. The
project risks can generate unfavourable circumstances that arise during the realization process
and affect the project's overall performance. The risk in the project is to be controlled, interpreted
and they need to be aware of it, react appropriately, handle it and deal positively with it. The
project risk can be defined as an infinite phenomenon whose presence affects the project
positively or negatively. For each project, the project risk categorization isn't strictly
standardized. A phenomenon which represents a critical risk for one project may be typical in
another project.
