Abstract

This study aimed to test the proposed model, namely the Model of Entrepreneurial Intentions on Bidikmisi Scholarship Recipients in Jambi University. The construct variables proposed in this study were Entrepreneurship Attitudes (EA), Entrepreneurship Competencies (EC), Creativity (C) and Entrepreneurial Intention (EI). Through an adaptation process that was adjusted to the Indonesian and the jambi contexts, specifically, 51 question items were made on the research questionnaire which was distributed online and offline. From the total 3,189 students who participated in filling out the questionnaire, researchers used 2,475 students who received the full Bidikmisi scholarship to be analyzed using statistical structural equation modeling (SEM) analysis. Respondents were selected by cluster random sampling technique (Area Sampling). This technique was used by respondents consisting of groups of individuals or groups in a very broad population. The cluster random sampling technique was taken from individual groups, namely students who accepted Bidikmisi students from all S1 study programs at Jambi University. This study used PLS-SEM with the SmartPLS 3 Program to analyze data from the proposed research model. From the five hypotheses proposed, the research findings were obtained as follows; (1) First Hypothesis: The result of the statistical T value was 12,208 ≥ 1.96; (2) Second Hypothesis: The result of the statistical T value was 3.119 ≥ 1.96; (3) Third Hypothesis: The result of the statistical T value was 41,385 ≥ 1.96; (4) Fourth Hypothesis: The result of the statistical T value was 11,281 ≥ 1.96; (5) Fifth Hypothesis: The result of the statistical T value was 18,281 ≥ 1.96. As a final consequence it can be concluded that the construct of the Entrepreneurial Competencies (EC) variable was the most influential and had a higher effect on Creativity (C) than on the construct of other variables.
