Abstract

Social entrepreneurship is an essential and integral part of the societal development of a
country. The current study aims to find out the major contributing variable impacting social
entrepreneurship. Hypotheses formed in the study were tested using the conceptual model
build based on the secondary data. The conceptual model was tested using multiple
regression and the contribution of each independent variable to dependent variable (social
entrepreneurship intention - SEI) were measured on the bases of beta value. Findings of the
study suggest that SEI is significantly linked to Entrepreneurial Self Efficacy, Societal
Value System and Market orientation and Societal Value System found the most
contributing variable to social entrepreneurship intention. These results of the study
projected that social entrepreneurship has significant impact on societal well-being and
socio-economic development.
