Abstract

Human resource is defined as the total knowledge skills, creativity abilities, talents and aptitudes of an organisation’s work force as well as values, attitudes and beliefs of the individuals involved. Human resources denote work force required to accomplish the task of the organisation which is measured qualitatively and quantitatively. Human resources management represented by the people for the people to the people. It is the management of human resources for the purpose of achieving the individual, departmental and corporate organisation objectives and goals. Human resources management strategy looks for human resources and their collective and grouping of skills, talents, ableness and their experience coupled with their effective deployment of abilities in the interest of the empowering the corporate organisation and their relevance as well significance of contribution to the success of the business with a competitive edge and advantage. The relevance of human resources management strategy is to develop corporate policies, programmes and their implementation which is help to achieve the corporate objectives of business. This study of human resources management strategy of automobile companies in Chennai is attempted to understand the level of commitment and their work environment. The study in analytical and descriptive in nature. Sample size of the study is 513. The study concludes that the human resources management strategy is essence to create favourable for work environment and work commitment of employees working in automobile companies in Chennai environ.
